I absolutely loved meeting and photographing the adorable Kang family in Downtown Howell for their family photos last spring! This family came to their session dressed in beautiful formal attire. If you ever felt overwhelmed planning your family’s outfits, I have good news for all of my 2020 clients! I now offer an amazing styling service when you book a session. If you are wondering what season to book your family’s session in, spring is the perfect time. The weather is warmer, the sun is shining, and the flowers are bloomed. In addition, downtown Howell has many beautiful locations for family photos.

I suggested meeting up with the Kang family at this super cute local coffee shop to start. I love indoor lifestyle shots and this place is the best spot with a large, open window. After that, we ventured around downtown to a few of my favorite spots. There are so many wonderful options downtown! I absolutely love the old brick feel, the walking bridge, and the abundance of flowers that downtown Howell this time of year. Also, the old buildings are so beautiful. It is definitely a favorite location of mine.

I am so in love with this newborn session that took place at the Telfer family’s Brighton, MI home! All of my newborn sessions take place in client’s homes and have a lifestyle feel. In home sessions are a beautiful way to capture the essence of your family. Also, everyone is always super comfortable in their own home and it definitely shows in photographs. By the way, it is so much easier to stay home with a newborn and be able to instantly change back into your PJ’s and take a nap once I leave, since you are already at home. 😉

Heading back a few months into early fall with the adorable Dice Family! Lindsay reached out to me in search of a family photographer with a candid style. She thought that candid photography may be the best way to capture three active, young children. I knew I was the right fit for her as soon as she said this! My style is very candid, organic, and fun! I love to let the kids just be kids and let things flow naturally at my sessions. We decided the perfect spot for their outdoor session would be at my beautiful outdoor location in Brighton, Michigan!

The kids were full of energy as soon as they hopped out of the car and I loved it! They were infatuated with my camera and soon were running around. being their goofy selves. The session included plenty of family snuggles, horseplay, and love. As a photographer, I love Brighton, Michigan location for family sessions because it offers a ton of space for kids to play and explore. Plus the scenery is absolutely gorgeous.
