I am SO behind on blogging sessions. But since I am officially on maternity leave and counting down the days until my own due date (30 days, to be exact!), I have some time to catch up on and perfect the business/blogging side of my work!

I had to start off my blogging spree this month with my wonderful, beautiful, sweet friend Katie and her adorable family. This was Katie’s maternity session while she was pregnant with her second baby, her perfect little girl Madison (blog post of her newborn session coming soon!). Their session took place at my exclusive, private property located in Gregory, MI. I always feel so honored when my friends and family ask me to photograph these special moments in their life. It means so much when my loved ones invest and support me and my business.

Also, baby bumps are one of my favorite things to photograph. I love to help make mamas feel so confident and empowered at their sessions. Because you should be! You are a beautiful badass, and you deserve to look and feel amazing. So pamper yourself, get dolled up, and have me take your photos. Trust me, you will want this moment documented and to look back onto one day.

Anyway, I love this lady and her family. I hope you enjoy the baby bump photos. If her adorable bump doesn’t make you miss being pregnant, I don’t know what will. 😉

Bring the family and get ready to have some fun! This years tree farm sessions will take place at
Snow Shoe Tree Farm in Howell, MI on Saturday November 16 and Sunday November 17.

Conveniently located 5 miles from the I-96 exit and centrally located from Ann Arbor, Lansing, Novi, and surrounding areas. Turn your session into a family fun day and check out and explore all of what beautiful downtown Howell has to offer after your session!

These limited edition sessions are 15 minutes long, include your choice of 8 digital images and the option to purchase additional digital images and products, such as prints, canvases, and more! An interactive styling service, Style and Select, will be available to all clients! This is an awesome tool to help you coordinate your family into those Pinterest worthy outfits, so you feel and look the best on the day of your session! Clients will receive an access code once booking is complete.

The Limited Edition Christmas Tree Farm Session is $225, with $100 due at booking and the remaining $125 amount due the day of your session. This is the lowest priced session that I will offer all year. Take advantage of this amazing price and have some fun with your family creating memories at the tree farm!

Brighton Michigan Target Maternity Session

Ok ladies. Who loves Target? ? I mean, let’s be honest… it has everything we need… and everything we don’t need, am I right? You can get lost in that place. Especially if you are a mama. I honestly probably go to Target at least once a week. ? Yes, I’m one of those moms with a coffee in hand, baby in cart, getting lost in all of the cute items down every aisle… then end up with a basket full of stuff I didn’t go in for.

It’s just a Target thing, ya know?

I wanted to do something creative, fun, and different. I love focusing on motherhood in my photography. So, I thought, what can I do that can include motherhood + fun + creativity? A maternity session in Brighton Michigan’s Target, of course! What better way to showcase a new mama’s pregnancy than on display at the red bullseye store? It’s like the initiation into motherhood. I had an outdoor maternity session scheduled for a Friday evening already with the lovely Katie and asked if she would like to model for me at Target after her session. (Blog post coming soon for that one- she looked so gorgeous and rocked her red gown!) She happily agreed! For all my Target lovin’ mamas… this one’s for you! ?

We started at Starbucks, obviously. 😉 Then we hit up the baby section and some other essential spots for mamas.

Ok let’s stop for a sec. How cute is Katie?! She brought the t-shirt “Don’t Eat the Watermelon Seeds” which is super cute. It was just perfect for this Target theme. Ok, more cute phots below.

Williamston, Michigan Family Photographer |Extended Family Session

Extended family sessions are so fun! This session took place in Williamston, Michigan a cute little town just east of Lansing. It was a cold, sunny day with a little bit of snow left on the ground. The funny thing is, when we originally scheduled their session it started DOWN POURING on us! So, I am glad we rescheduled for a sunny and dry day. Even though it was freezing outside, at least the sun made it look warm. 😉

I love seeing the connections and different dynamics between all of the family members. This boy cousin trio had a hilarious bond and had me cracking up. As you can see in the photos below, the boys were so goofy, liked to jump around and just wanted to have some fun! I try to make my sessions as interactive as possible, so the kids do not get bored and we can get some genuine smiles out of them. 🙂

I took a combination of posed / shots that showed the family connection and captured each individual’s personality. My goal is to capture your family the way that they are. In other words, I like sessions to be fun! I hope y’all enjoy these photos as much as I enjoyed taking them!

This in home lifestyle family photography session in East Lansing was so much fun! Lifestyle sessions are seriously my passion! I love telling each family’s individual story through a collection of images and the kids honestly have so much more fun. No forced cheese smiles or being told to sit still. Can you tell I just love them? I want to document family’s stories every day!

Of course, I had to start off by sharing one of the cutest family’s session from this winter that took place at a local tree farm in Webberville / Williamston, Michigan. Ya’ll need to check out this beautiful, family owned tree farm next year! It’s called Moon and Son’s Tree Farm. Also, a huge thank you and shout out to them for letting me hold my sessions there! Why do you need to check them out, you ask? First of all, the owners are wonderful. Also, it is just a short drive from the Lansing or the Livingston County areas. The McKenna Family | Lifestyle Family Session

Let me just say, I am so excited to share the McKenna family’s winter tree farm session! This is my second time photographing this family and I always love seeing them. Hannah and Jake have the most stinking cutest, well mannered little kids EVER. Seriously. I always tell them that. They are just SO. DARN. ADORABLE. First of all, Hudsyn just had so many giggles. I mean, I didn’t even have to try to get her to laugh- she just wouldn’t stop! Mom said that was her nervous habit, but man I just couldn’t get over how cute it was. Big brother Landon tried to play it cool at times, but you could see the fun he was having and especially the love for his little sister shine through in the moments that they were captured together.

It was freezing cold outside, but we braved the cold Michigan winter temps by keeping our body temps up by running around, playing games, and lots of warm, cuddle snuggles. Thanks for sticking out the cold weather with me, McKenna family! Above all, I think it was well worth being cold. I hope everyone enjoys some highlights from this adorable lifestyle family session.
